PESHAWAR, Oct 15: A cruise missile fired on Sunday night by American forces against Taliban strayed into Parachinar. The missile landed near Spin Ghar, a hill town near Parachinar, an official said on Monday.

Parachinar is located around 250 kilometres southwest of Peshawar. The Spin Ghar hills straddle Pakistan and Afghanistan to form a border between them. The missile hit shepherds’ hamlets in Spin Ghar, killing sheep and goats. There were no human casualties.—dpa
