KARACHI, Nov 12: Seeing that the country is facing danger, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief, Altaf Hussain, has announced to offer its party services to save the country.

Addressing groups of party workers at Karachi and Hyderabad over telephone from London, Mr Altaf said that due to prevailing conditions in the South-Asian region, the security and stability of the country were under threat, and as such it was the Muttahida which could save Pakistan, if any chance was given to it, said a party press release on Monday.

He said that the Muttahida was the only party which had the formula to rescue the country. He urged the Chief Executive, GHQ, army generals and prime government agencies, including intelligence bodies, to accept the Muttahida and embrace it, if they wanted to save the country and see it stable, stronger and united, added the press release.

He pointed out to the people at the helm of affairs of the country that they had tested all other parties of the country, but to no avail. “If you tried them again, they will cause further damage to the country, instead of making it stronger,” the Muttahida chief added.

He also said that people holding the reins of government should know that if his party was contacted, it would extend cooperation and could deliver the goods, particularly in a situation when a lot of changes in the region were due.

Meanwhile, the MQM coordination committee condemned the killing of a member of the party organizing committee, Muhammad Naim, on Sunday.

The murder was a continuity of the policy of victimization and genocide of Mohajirs by the establishment, added the committee in a statement.
