KARACHI: Man found dead

KARACHI, March 15: A man was found dead with his throat slit near his Orangi Town home on Friday.

The police said that Mehmood Ahmed, aged 32, resident of Ghousia Chowk, Hanifabad, Sector 10, Orangi Town, was a carpenter. He might have been kidnapped, subjected to torture and slaughtered. Later, the body was dumped near his home, the police added.

WOUNDED: A man was shot and wounded in Liaquatabad on Friday, the police said.

Mulla Ashraf alias Thallewala was shot and wounded near Hanifia mosque in Liaquatabad No 6 allegedly by Qadir alias Dacoit, the police said, adding that Ashraf and Qadir were affiliated with the Mohajir Qaumi Movement and the attack was the outcome of a personal dispute.
