BAHAWALPUR, Jan 26: The Pakistan Post Office would issue on Jan 28 a special postage stamp of Rs4 to commemorate the golden jubilee of the Sadiq Public School, senior postmaster said in a press release issued here on Monday.

The three-day celebrations to mark the school's golden jubilee are commencing today (Tuesday). Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali is expected to be the chief guest at the Founders Day function on Jan 29.

Executive District Officer (finance and planning) Dr Rahil Siddiqui, who is also organizer of the programme, said former students of the institution would attend the functions.

They include well-known figures like Senate chairman Mohammadmian Soomro, Sindh Chief Minister Ali Muhammad Mahar, Federal Labour Minister Mian Abdus Sattar Laleka, Gujranwala Corps Commander Lt-Gen Javed Hassan, National Defence College commandant Lt-Gen Tariq Wasim Ghazi, Maj-Gen Wasim Ashraf and National Bank of Pakistan President Syed Ali Raza.-APP
