KARACHI: Khalid Ishaq's death condoled

KARACHI, Feb 9: Representatives of Sindh Bar Council (SBC) and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) have condoled the death of prominent lawyer and intellectual Khalid M. Ishaq and said that legal fraternity lost one of its luminaries.

In a joint statement, Mustafa Lakhani, Muhammad Yaseen Azad, Sadiq Hidayatullah, Muhammad Aqil, Muhammad Ismail Memon and Ainuddin Khan said that late Khalid Ishaq was a treasure of knowledge inducing jurisprudence.

They said that his death had created a void which would be difficult to fill and the contribution made by him would be an everlasting source of inspiration. Meanwhile, the acting governor, Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah, visited the house of late Khalid Ishaq in Garden East and condoled with his sons Yahya Nadeem and Shoaib.

The acting governor was accompanied by Sindh Law Minister Choudhry Iftikhar Hussain and Adviser to Chief Minister Salahuddin Haider. Mr Muzaffar prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss. -PPI
