NEW YORK, Sept 19: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri and his Indian counterpart Natwar Singh had a one-to-one meeting on Monday afternoon over lunch hosted by Ambassador Miner Akram at his residence.

Foreign ministers from other South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (Saarc) nations, who are in New York, also attended the luncheon.

Mr Singh told New Delhi Television that he had also met Mr Kasuri on Sunday on the sidelines of the UN summit meeting. However, he did not divulge any details of the meeting.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Pakistan mission said Indian Foreign Minister Natwar Singh would visit Pakistan from Oct 3 and a date for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit had not been set yet.

Dawn had earlier reported that the Indian prime minister would visit Pakistan on Oct 3 which is not the case.
