KARACHI: Karachi more vibrant than other cities: CS


KARACHI, Jan 1: Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman has said that law and order in Karachi was satisfactory and claimed that the city enjoyed more vibrant life than any other city. He was talking to a 28-member delegation of under-training officers of District Management Group from Civil Services Academy, Lahore currently visiting Sindh. The delegation met him at his office on Saturday.

The city of about 15 million people was comparatively peaceful although certain negative perceptions were held about it contrary to the fact, he observed.

The chief secretary shed light on the significance of civil services and briefed them about priorities of government with special reference to its resources, devolution of power process, water needs, good governance, transparency, law and order situation and other matters.

The DMG officers apprised that their visit was a sort of study tour under special training programme of CSA. –-PPI/APP
