RAHIM YAR KHAN, Jan 1: A new building of the Islamia University Bahawalpur sub-campus will be constructed at a cost of Rs200 million. IUB vice-chancellor Prof Dr Bilal A. Khan told journalists here on Sunday that a 125-acre tract had been selected for the building near Chak 54-P and the PC-1 for the project sent to the government.
He said the existing campus was established at a Khwaja Fareed Government College hostel with an expenditure of Rs20 million. The campus is currently offering MBA, BBA and MCS.
The VC also inaugurated a computer laboratory in the sub-campus, which had been established at a cost of Rs2.5 million.
He said more teachers would be appointed in the sub-campus. He approved 1,000 books for the library.
Prof Nomeeta Zainab Sultan, the sub-campus incharge, said the facility of multimedia was also provided and a bus being arranged for the students. — Correspondent
