KARACHI, Jan 18: Four ships to load and offload containers, rice and edible oil arrived at the outer anchorage) during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Berth occupancy stood at 78 per cent as seven ships, Sealand Voyager, Chong Chon Gang, Stoikos, Samho Cygnus, Tassels, Beluga Recommendation and Bunga Kantan, were busy in loasing and unloading containers, rice, seeds, edible oil, diesel oil, general cargo and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 57,191 tons comprising 37,635 tons of import and 19,556 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was also active as Bunga Kantan, Sealand Voyager and Samho Cygnus left the port while Asian Trader was due to depart.

Seven ships, Laem Thong Pride, CMA CGM Kingston, Asian Trader, Eburna, Cedar Galaxy, Shintaku and Sea Synergy were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.

Two ships, Mastery and Puspita, with chemicals and coal were due to arrive on Wednesday, while Al-Isha’a, Maya, Sea Charm, Al-Mawqa and Docomo were expected to reach on Thursday.
