KARACHI, Jan 18: Nine ships carrying cars, containers and to load fish and molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where 10 ships were berthed to unload and load rice and containers. They are: APL Cairo, Bunga Kenari, Sinar Bontang and Kota Wangi, to unload and load containers, Rez, Jo Birk, tankers, African Sanderling, Captain George, with general cargo, Orionis, to offload vehicles and Hill to load rice.

Five ships, Corin Thaikos, Yang Jiang He, CEC Castle, Eburna, Swat, departed on Wednesday, while Katya Zelenko, Rez, African Sanderling, Oriobis, Kota Wangi, APL Cairo, Hyundai Future and Jo Birk are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.117m tons comprising 7,680 tons of export cargo and 0.110m tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Shalamar, to offload crude oil, Kengtung, Leopard, Rickmers Doha, with general cargo, Iran Shahryar, Thor Captain, with containers, Maersk Taiyo, with cars, and Seiko Maru No. 18, to load 400 tons of fish.
