LAHORE, Jan 18: Fine bowling by medium-pacer Tahir Mughal helped PTCL earn three points over Habib Bank after the Patron’s Trophy Grade-I quadrangular series match ended in a predictable draw at Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Tahir, who had captured three wickets on Tuesday, grabbed two more to finish with five for 67 as the bankers could add only 16 runs to their first innings total of 139 for six to be all out for 155, in reply to PTCL’s 271.

By close of play, medium-pacer Shahid Nazir also put PTCL in trouble by taking all four wickets in the second innings.

Only 21.1 overs were possible on the last day due to rain and inclement weather which damaged the proceeding on all four days.

Meanwhile, the match between PIA and National Bank at the KRL Stadium in Rawalpindi was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
