KARACHI, Jan 19: Six ships carrying tallow, soyabean meal and trucks are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Kota Mesra, Satha Bum, CMA CGM Swala, Y.M. Star and Hyundai Future, to unload and load containers, Agios Mektarices, to offload urea and Johar, to unload crude oil, were berthed.

Seven vessels — Bunga Kenari, Kota Wangi, APL Cairo, Evegenia, African Sanderling, Katya Zallenko, Rez and Lalazar — departed on Thursday, while Orionis, Jo Birk, Lepta Galaxy, Golden Express, Satha CGM Swala, Maersk Taiyo, Johar, and Kota Mesra are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity was on the higher side totalling 0.119m tons comprising 21,012 tons of export cargo, including 2,893 tons of rice and 98,299 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Adhidaya, with 3,500 tons of tallow, Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Iran Shahryar, with containers, Cheyenne, with 13 trucks, Mercs Ruhunu, with 2,700 tons of soyabean meal, and Sea Harvest, with general cargo.
