KARACHI, Jan 25: Eight ships carrying, palm oil, general cargo, containers and to load rice, molasses and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Kota Wijaya, MOL Silver Ern, Corin Thaikos, to unload and load containers, Sea Power and Dina Queen, to offload and load general cargo, were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Bunga Delima, Hanjin Busan, Guang Hua Men and Banglar Urmi, while APL Jeddah, Rizcun Trader, Kota Wijaya, Hill, Hyundai Stride, Sea Power, Kuo Hung and Irene are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 89,706 tons comprising 31,110 tons of export cargo, including 8,362 tons of rice and 58,596 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Sunniva, Olar to load ethanol, NCC Madinah, to offload 11,000 tons of palm oil, Uni Tank, to load 10,000 tons of molasses, Wan Hai-311, APL Orchid, with containers, Agios Nectarios, to load 21,750 tons of rice, Cheyenne, to offload trucks, and Iron Butterfly to unload project cargo.
