Gang smashed

SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 25: Syedwala police have arrested four members of an inter-district gang of cattle-lifters and recovered 24 animals and other booty worth millions. Nankana DPO Zulfiqar Hameed said on Wednesday that a heavy contingent of police raided suspected places and arrested gang’s ring leader Shahbaz alias Mumtazi and Niaz, Intezar Hussain and Abbas.

The DPO added that the arrested were involved in more than 40 cases of heinous crimes and were also wanted by Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Okara and Gujranwala police.—Correspondent
