TI leader joins PML

PESHAWAR, Jan 25: Provincial chairman of the Tehrik-i-Istiqlal (TI) Farhad Ali Khan on Wednesday quit the party and joined the ruling Pakistan Muslim League. “I am resigning from the basic membership and provincial office of the Tehrik-i-Istiqlal and joining the PML”, he announced at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday.

He was accompanied by district president PML Dir Upper, Sultan Yousaf and general secretary Sardaraz Khan.

He said he needed a platform to serve the country and people of his district. Therefore, he decided to join the larger political party like PML.

He expressed confidence in the leadership of PML central president, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and provincial chief Amir Muqaam.

He said that PML was representing the nation in true sense.—Correspondent
