Polo: Hissam on goal rampage

LAHORE, Jan 25: Six goals in the last two chukkers supported by a one and a half- goal handicap helped Soneri Bank beat Bank Alfalah 8 1/2-7 in Telecom Polo Cup on Wednesday. Soneri Bank made a stormy start 7 ½ -1 as Hissam Ali Hyder scored all seven goals in the first two chukkers against only one by Asif Tiwana of the winners.

But Soneri Bank staged recovery as Asif scored three more goals and Ahmed Ali Tiwana added two and Saqib Khan Khakwani one to change the fortune.

In another match which comprises eight chukkers will be completed in two days, Guard Rice were leading 8-7 1/2 against Army.

The second round of four chukkers will be held on Friday.
