KARACHI, Feb 16: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Thursday said that the ratio of Zakat fund was insufficient as compared to the population of the province especially Karachi.

He stated this at a Zakat cheque distribution ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that he would personally contact the authorities concerned for the increase in the Zakat fund.

Dr Ibad said that he was aware that people from other parts of the country besides Karachiites depended on the government hospitals in Karachi and Zakat fund allocated in this regard was insufficient.—PPI
