KARACHI, Feb 16: Postmortem examination of the three Chinese engineers was carried at Aga Khan Hospital by a team of doctors of the Sindh government on Thursday.

The bodies of the three Chinese engineer’s — Long hong-Dai, Zhao Din, Vei Jaineing — were shifted to Aga Khan Hospital early Thursday morning from Attock Cement Factory where they were gunned down with their Pakistani driver.

The body of Shahzad Amjad, the driver of the three engineers, was sent to the Edhi’s morgue from where it was sent to Shore Kot on Thursday, Edhi sources said.

The examination of the body of was carried out by Dr Kaleem Shaikh, in charge of the medico-legal section of the Civil Hospital Karachi and some other doctors. Police Surgeon Dr Irfan Qureshi was also present and he supervised the legal procedures.

“A detailed autopsy examination was not carried out as the cause of the death was obvious.”

RAUF: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui has said that Sindh government is in constant touch with Balochistan authorities, for the arrest of people involved in the murder of Chinese engineers in Hub, add agencies.

Talking to the Consul-General of China, Sun Chunye who called on him at his office late on Wednesday night, Rauf Siddiqui expressed his deep sorrow and said that the whole nation was grieved at the tragic incident.

“No matter what corner of the country they choose to hide themselves, they could not escape from law,” he asserted.

The home minister said that security was being beefed up through deployment of additional police personnel at all the required points, particularly, at places where Chinese people are staying.

Appreciating the efforts of the government for the arrest of killers, the Chinese Consul-General hoped that it would soon be successful in its endeavours.

Later, Rauf Siddiqui visited the Agha Khan Hospital when bodies of the Chinese Engineers were brought there and expressed his profound grief over the killings.

Talking to newsmen, Mr Sun Chunye said that the Chinese people were undaunted in the face of this kind of terrorist attacks which were taking place across the world.

“We appreciate the cooperation being extended to us on this testing time by the Sindh governor, Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan, Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui and Director-General Rangers Javed Zia.

JAM YOUSUF: The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Jam Mohammad Yousuf, here on Thursday visited the Chinese Consulate to offer condolences over the killing of three Chinese engineers, who were working in a cement factory in Hub, Balochistan, on Wednesday.

Jam Yousuf stayed at the Consulate for some time and met the Consul-General, Sun Chunye, and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the killing of the three Chinese engineers.

He said that the deceased were contributing towards the process of development in Balochistan and also for Pakistan.

On the occasion, the chief minister also recorded his impressions in the condolence book.
