MULTAN, Feb 26: Two members of Nazra Ghazlani dacoits gang involved in many kidnap-for-ransom cases were killed in an encounter with police near Chenab river in Rohillanwali area of district Muzaffargarh on Sunday.

A senior police officer of Muzaffargarh district said two men riding a motorcycle were signalled to stop by a police party at a picket near Kacha area at Rohillanwali.

The suspects, however, resorted to firing at the police which was retaliated.

As a result, both were killed and later identified as Nazar Husain Ghazlani, the ring leader of the gang, and his son Azhar.—APP
