ISLAMABAD, March 2: Minister of Law, Justice and Human Rights Wasi Zafar has said the bomb blast near American Consulate in Karachi is an attempt to sabotage the visit of US President George W. Bush.
Condemning the blast, he said those responsible for the act were enemies of the state, and would be dealt with severely.
The minister said the menace of terrorism had to be completely wiped out from Pakistan, if we wanted to make any real progress. He said those responsible for killing innocent people were doing no service to Islam or Pakistan.
Mushahid Hussain: Secretary-General of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Mushahid Hussain Syed has condemned the act of terrorism in Karachi in which innocent lives were lost.
He expressed the hope that this incident would neither affect the visit of US President George W. Bush nor undermine Pakistan-American relations, adding that this act of terrorism demonstrated that terrorism was a common threat to all humanity and terrorism could only be countered collectively.
