Minor girl assaulted

PESHAWAR, March 2: A minor girl was allegedly criminally assaulted by a relative in Patwar Bala village of the Mathra area on Wednesday, a police official said on Thursday.

S. Q. told police that his nine-year-old daughter was alone at home when Sadiq came and allegedly criminally assaulted her.

Police arrested 15-year-old Sadiq under the Hudood laws and sent the victim to the Forensic Sciences Department of the Khyber Medical College for medical examination.

ARRESTS: The city police arrested 150 proclaimed offenders and recovered illegal weapons and drugs over the past two months, said a press release issued on Thursday.

According to it, police recovered 27 Kalashnikovs, 10 Kalakovs, 19 rifles, 236 shotguns and 29,668 cartridges of different weapons from the possession of those arrested.—Correspondent
