DERA GHAZI KHAN, March 11: Dozens of people protested against the registry officer for creating hurdles in property registration. The protesters, led by ruling PML leader Iqbal Saqib, met with Executive District Officer (revenue) Ms Iram Quraishi to record their protest against her subordinate Rab Nawaz.

They alleged that the registry officer often teased the people who visited his officer for property registration.

The EDO assured the protesters that the officer would be admonished for his conduct.

DEMO: The Contractor Association of Works and Services department staged a protest demonstration against the district officer (building) for demanding commission.

The contractors also observed a token hunger strike against the DOB. The president and secretary-general of the association told Dawn that because of the delaying tactics used by the officer the chief minister’s scheme for providing the missing facilities at schools could not completed yet.
