Journalist’s apartment robbed

Published March 13, 2006

KARACHI, March 12: The house of a journalist, working for the daily Star of the Dawn Group of Newspapers, in the Defence Housing Authority was robbed on Saturday.

Rashid Channa said he was going out with his family when he noticed two men in a car near his apartment block.

He thought they had come to see someone else in the building and ignored them.

But when he returned, he found the floor of his apartment littered with clothes and household items. Everything was upside down, he said. Mr Channa said that some important files and cash were missing. Mr Channa does not believe it to be a case of simple robbery — this being the third incident he had to face within a year.
