KARACHI, April 9: If doctors, physicians and experts of Pakistan and India join hands to work for common goals it could make the subcontinent a leading force in the entire world. These views were expressed by the president of India Menopausal Society, Dr Behram Ankleseria here on Saturday night, while speaking at an inaugural session of a two-day medical conference on “Diseases faced by women”.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Behram Anklesaria said that the two countries had parallel civilizations and almost the same language and therefore by cooperating in various fields including medical, would bring about significant development in many areas.

Talking about menopause, he said, ignoring the health of women in their forties was tantamount to neglecting the health of the entire society.

The vice-chancellor of the Dow University of Health Sciences, Prof Masood Hameed Khan, highlighted the importance of sharing expertise and knowledge by India and Pakistan.

The president of Pakistan Menopausal Society, Prof Rubina Hussain, in her welcome address said that we had a huge talent pool that was not being utilised to its capacity.
