KARACHI, April 13: The Dow and the Sindh medical colleges have announced the schedule for the practical of 4th year MBBS (3rd professional) pathology and community medicine annual exams, which had been postponed in the wake of the Nishtar Park bombing incident.

Prof Salahuddin Afsar, principal of the DMC said on Thursday that pathology practical scheduled for April 12 would now held on April 15, while that of April 13 would be conducted on April 17.

He said that the interviews of postgraduate students which had been postponed due to the prevailing situation in the city would be announced later.

The principal of SMC, Dr Tariq Sharafatullah, said that practical of community medicines scheduled for April 12 to 14 would now be held from April 15 onwards, while those of pathology would now commence on April 18.

In the meantime, a press release of the Ojha Institute of Chest Diseases, Dow University of Health Sciences, said that orientation programme for students of the Institute of Nursing and Institute of Medical Technology of DUHS, which was scheduled to be held on April 15, had been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

Now the orientation programme for the students of two institutes in question will be held on April 22 at 10am, while classes will commence on April 24.
