QUETTA, April 13: The Balochistan Assembly on Thursday restored the membership of Minister for Communications Prince Faisal Daud and allowed him to attend assembly session from April 15.

Speaker Jamal Shah Kakar had suspended the membership of the MMA minister for his failure to come to the house to answer questions asked by opposition members.

Speaking on a point of order, PML MPA Mrs Robina Irfan requested the speaker to withdraw his ruling regarding suspension of Prince Faisal Daud and allow him to come to the house and clear his position. She said that the minister had informed the deputy speaker of his engagement and the deputy speaker had granted him leave while he was chairing the session.

Opposition member Sardar Azam Musakhel asked the speaker to stick to his ruling and said if the speaker reversed his decision he would stage a walkout.

Clarifying his position, Deputy Speaker Aslam Bhootani said that he had not granted leave to the minister. After this statement, the speaker referred the matter to the house for its opinion.
