Cottage settlement burnt

DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 13: A man suffered serious burn injuries and cattle burnt alive here on Thursday when a fire broke out in a cottage settlement of a nomadic tribe near general bus stand.

Reports said the cottage settlement caught fire as a result of which a resident, Acchu, 30, received serious burns and was referred to Multan. A pony and dozens of hens were burnt alive.

As many as 200 people of 12 families were living in the settlement. The affected people told this correspondent that valuables worth Rs2 million were reduced to ashes.
