Imran, Sami bowl bankers to victory
LAHORE, April 13: Superb bowling by leg-spinner Imran Javed and paceman Mohammad Sami steered National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to a resounding 10-wicket win over Faisalabad, inside two-days, in the Pentangular Cup cricket tournament at Multan Stadium on Thursday.
Imran gave away 34 runs to claim four wickets while Sami, who took five wickets in the first innings, returned a figure of 3-28.
Faisalabad batsmen for the second failed and the entire team was bundled out for 165 in the second innings and set a meagre target of 22 only for the bankers after earlier conceding 144-runs first innings lead.
The bankers achieved the target without losing any wicket in 3.3 overs.
Earlier, NBP resumed their second innings at 197-7 and were all out for 241 in 64.3 overs to gain first innings lead.
