Sindh govt under fire
FAISALABAD, April 14: The Sunni Tehrik Pakistan has blamed the Sindh government for its involvement in the killing of Sunni scholars and activists.
Speaking at a protest meeting of religious parties held here at Jhang Bazaar on Friday, tehrik’s divisional coordinator Shadab Raza alleged that Sunni leaders were killed by a Sindh-based political party owing to rising popularity graph of their party.
He said after the killing of Sunni leaders, the government and the administration were creating hurdles in their protest meetings and demonstrations which could be fatal to peace of the country.
Jamiat Mashaikh Pakistan’s president Pir Fazal Haq said the agencies of the federal government had nabbed the terrorists who had attacked the president. Why these agencies could not round up the killers of Sunni activists, he asked.
Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Pakistan chairman Maulana Saeed Ahmad Asad said the killing of Sunni leaders was a proof of the failure of federal and Sindh governments. — Staff Correspondent
