6-member TT squad for Germany

KARACHI, April 14: The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) has named a six-member team including three women, for featuring in the World Table Tennis championship (team event) being held at Bremen, Germany, from April 24 to May 1.

In the men, Pakistan has been drawn in Division 3 group J alongside Scotland, Kuwait, Cyprus, Mexico and Colombia. After round robin league, top two teams would advance to the next stage.

In the women, Pakistan has been placed in fourth category draws of which will be taken out on April 22.

The biennial competition will bring together 468 men and 352 women representing 119 nations which is a record.

The officials who are paying for the trip would utilize the opportunity of inter action with foreign delegates, said president PTTF, S. M. Sibtain.
