Two special Easter services today

LAHORE, April 15; Christians throughout the country will celebrate Easter on Sunday (today). Two special Easter services will be held in the morning. Bishop of Lahore Dr Alexander John Malik will conduct the first service at the Cathedral Church at 4.30 am and the second at 10.30 am

In his message on Easter, Dr. Alexander John Malik said that “Jesus Christ through His death and resurrection had conquered temporality and had offered eternal life to all those who believe in Him.

“Therefore, Easter is a day of victory. It is a day of triumph. It is victory over sin and death. It is triumph over the demonic and diabolic forces of evil.

“Easter is a day of rejoicing and singing Alleluia. Because it gives meaning to both life and death. We can be dead in life and alive in death.

“If we want to have life, if we want to live victorious and triumphant lives, we will have to accept Jesus as the ultimate revelation of God; as Lord and Saviour; as our Master, mentor and teacher. We have to establish our relationship with Him, with the fountain of life to have life.

He is the tree, we are the branches (John 15).. Without Him we have no life. Without Him, we cannot bear fruit. Without Him, we cannot live victorious and resurrected lives. He is our lifeline.”
