Daily wage employees continue hunger strike

SUKKUR, April 16: The daily wage employees of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) have pledged to observe a sit-in in front of the offices of the General Manager STR-V Sukkur, if their services were not regularised within three days.

They stated this while talking to newsmen in front of the Sukkur Press Club on Sunday, where they have been on an indefinite hunger strike for 19 days.

They said that they had been serving in the PTCL for 10 to 12 years as daily wage employees.

They called upon the president of the PTCL, Mr Juanid .I. Khan, and the newly-inducted members of PTCL board to provide justice.
