Power shutdown schedule for Quetta

QUETTA, April 16: There will be a four-hour daily power disruption in the city from April 17 under an arrangement to supply electricity to agricultural consumers in the province.

Earlier, the power disruption duration was two hours.

A press release of Qesco issued here on Sunday said the company had decided to reconsider the load-shedding schedule according to a decision taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Governor Awais Ahmad Ghani.

The power supply will remain suspended from 4pm to 8pm from the City grid station to the Milk plant, Jinnah Road, Sariab Road and the Brewry Road; from the Sariab grid station to Kirrani, industrial area, Joint Road, Satellite Town, Smangli and the Jan Mohammad Road; from the Marriabad grid station to Gulistan Town, Syedabad and Liaqat Bazaar; from the Shaikh Manda grid station to Killi Gul Mohammad, Western Bypass and Kuchlak-I; and from the Industrial grid station to Hazara Town, Shamozai, Satellite Town Express, Shahnawaz and Mian Ghundi.

The power supply will remain suspended from 08pm to zero hour from the City grid station to the Suraj Ganj Bazaar and Old Samangli; from the Sariab grid station to Sariab-II, Kirani Express and Liaqat Bazaar; from the Marriabad grid station to Marriabad, Toghi Road, City, Kasi I and II; from the Shaikh Manda grid station to Umar, Nohissar and Kuchlak-II; and from the Industrial grid station to Hassani, Kolpur, Pashtoonabad, Express, industrial area and FGS Colony.

Power will be supplied to various rural areas of the province for eight hours daily, including Killa Saifullah, Gawal Haidarzai, Zhob, Mosafirpur, Khanozai, Sorange, Mangchar and Kalat (from 8am to 4pm); Noshki, Sorab, Baghbana, Khuzdar, Kadkocha, Killa Abdullah, Gulistan, Chaman, Alizai, and Kanak (from 4pm to zero hour).—APP
