KARACHI, April 24: The administration of Liaquatabad Town has installed 20 small trash bins at various places in Gharibabad and Gulbahar areas.

According to a press release issued on Monday, Liaquatabad Town Nazim Osama Qadri asked the shopkeepers of both localities to put their shops' garbage in these trashcans so that it could not accumulate on roads and streets. He warned that action would be taken against shopkeepers under the Sindh Local Government Ordinance if they were found throwing wastes on roads and streets.

Meanwhile, Osama Qadri along with the town officials undertook visit of various ongoing uplift projects. He issued directives for alternate traffic arrangements to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic.

He also took notice of the vehicles parked at roadsides causing traffic jam situation and ordered land department to lift them. The land department taking immediate action seized various vehicles.—PPI
