LONDON, April 24: England opener Marcus Trescothick stormed back into form on Sunday with a blistering innings of 158 to lead Somerset to a 112-run win against Kent in the C&G Trophy.
Kent lost the match at Canterbury on the Duckworth-Lewis method after rain interrupted their reply to the visitors' 338.
Trescothick, who was dismissed twice on Thursday as his county were hammered by Gloucestershire in the County Championship, racked up 158 from 135 balls for the visitors.
The left-hander hit 20 fours and three sixes before he fell lbw to Martin Saggers, while there was also a half-century for Matthew Wood, who contributed 72 from 93 balls.
Kent made just 93 for five before rain brought an early end to the match in the 27th over with former Test fast bowler Andrew Caddick taking three wickets.
