Encroachments removed

ABBOTTABAD, April 27: The Tehsil Municipal Administration has removed push-carts from main bazaars of the city and encroachments by shopkeepers in the sabzi mandi, main bazaar, Kutchehry Road, Eid Gah Road and along the link road.

Tehsil Nazim Saifullah Jadoon, who is supervising the anti-encroachment drive, said the campaign had been launched to restore the beauty of the city.

He said the TMA would provide an alternative spot to 145 registered push-cart owners and 55 other vendors soon.

GYMNASTIC: The 42nd national gymnastic championship will be held at the Army School of Physical Fitness and Training from May 9 to 11 under supervision of the National Gymnastic Federation and the Army Sports Directorate.

Different committees, headed by the Commandant of the Army School of Physical Fitness, Col Talat Mehmood, were formed for the purpose

Giving details to journalists, the organizing secretary of the championship, Lt-Col Qaiser Mustafa, said the seventh national junior championship would also be held.

Besides the Pakistan army, teams from other departments and the four provinces will take part in the competition.
