By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, April 28: Two security personnel were injured in a landmine explosion in Sangsilla area of Dera Bugti, while tribesmen blew up a pipeline suspending gas supply to the Pir Koh plant on Friday.

According to official sources, a vehicle on patrol in Sangsilla area was blown up by the landmine, injuring Frontier Corps men Zeeshan and Fahim, who were taken to the Sui hospital.

However, tribal sources claimed that two FC men had been killed in the blast.

They also claimed that four FC men were injured in a clash with tribesmen in Qambar Lango area.

Tribesmen were also reported to have fired rockets at FC checkpoints in Loti, Ghori Nullah, Gundoi, Chamasha and Sui areas. They also attacked the posts with small weapons. No casualty or damage was reported.

The sources said security forces seized 23 rockets, seven Ak-47 rifles, 13 mortar shells, three remote-controlled bombs and over 5,000 rounds in a raid.

Security forces, meanwhile, arrested nine people in Mand area. “They were suspected of involvement in rocket attacks and other subversive activities,” official sources said, adding that they were being interrogated.
