KARACHI, May 5: Five ships including Wise King carrying 18,150 tons of sugar are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was light owing to delayed arrivals of foreign flag vessels. As a result, only two vessels, SanJiang Rou and Khairpur to unload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Hyundai Future, Y.M.Star, Kota Waris, and Arihant, while Banglar urmi, Johar, Corin Thaikos, Judi Muhieddine, Sinar Bontang and Banglar Kakoli are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 0.107m tons comprising 35,053 tons of export cargo and 71,493 tons of import tonnage including 5,399 tons of sugar was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Kota Jasa, Yang Jiang He and Iran Kordestan, with containers and Wise King with sugar.
