HYDERABAD: Suparco recruitment test for graduates

HYDERABAD, May 5: The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission conducted a recruitment test of fresh graduates of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, on Thursday.

The group-head of the Suparco’s induction department, Major (rtd) Mirza Iqbal, thanked the MUET authorities for providing the platform which would play a major role in enhancing university-industry interaction.

The acting vice-chancellor of the university, Dr Ramzan Sabayo, praised the efforts of Suparco for hunting talent in the university.

He said that telecom laboratories of the university were recognized internationally and they were putting every effort in imparting quality education in the field of telecommunication.

Prof (Dr) B.S. Chaudhry, the chairman of the department of electronics and telecommunication engineering, said that as far as government telecom policy was concerned, it was very clear and based on deregulation, liberalization and privatisation along with consistency, continuity and transparency.

He said that the only impediment to the growth of Suparco was a shortage of skilled manpower capable of meeting the market demand.

He said that the MUET had been declared hub in telecommunication technologies.

On the occasion, the chairman of the electronics and telecommunication department, presented shield of appreciation to the guest.

STPP: Sindh Taraqi Passand Party chairman Dr Qadir Magsi also condemned the incident and demanded that the DPOs of Ghotki and Rahim Yar Khan should be placed under suspension and an inquiry be held against them.
