KARACHI, May 24: Leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Wednesday said that differences between Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and his coalition partners were nothing but an attempt to divert people’s attention from the historic signing of the charter of democracy between PPP and PML.

In a statement, he described the rift as “a political gimmick being played by puppets of same circus.”

He believed that the man who was operating the circus would move his wand and the puppets be hugging each other.

Mr Khuhro claimed that the matter of differences between the ‘remote-controlled’ political entities was a well-directed stage show to divert the attention of common people from real issue that posed a very serious threat to the national integrity and progress.

The opposition leader said that although the actors were performing well, the drop scene of this drama might not be something its director was expecting.

He stressed that the country needed a serious remedy to its problems and a quick transformation from the military dictatorship to democracy.—PPI
