President to meet U-19 champions

LAHORE, May 28: President General Pervez Musharraf will honour the Pakistan Under-19 team on Monday for winning the World Cup in Sri Lanka this year.

The president, who is also the PCB patron, will also meet chairman of the board Shaharyar M. Khan to discuss details of holding the Champions Trophy 2008, Asia Cup 2008 and World Cup 2011.

The PCB chairman will also apprise the president about the action plan prepared to improve the stadiums and to get control of three stadiums — Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar.

Pakistan retained the Under-19 World Cup after beating India in the final in Colombo (Sri Lanka).
