KARACHI: Report on security steps sought: Nishtar Park
KARACHI, June 2: Inquiry Tribunal of Nishtar Park Tragedy, headed by Justice Rahmat Hussain Jaffery of Sindh High Court, summoned a report from the Provincial Police Officer regarding the general directives issued from his office in connection with the security and other arrangements for Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations on April 11.
The tribunal also sought details of duties assigned to the security officials.
Additional DIG Syed Nayyer Hasnain was asked to submit the PPO’s report by June 5 when the tribunal would resume the day-to-day proceedings.—APP/PPI
