SAHIWAL, June 2: A man was killed in a clash between land grabbers and police in Chak 56/4-R on Thursday evening. Noorshah police said Rana Abdul Razzaq group grabbed 10 acres of agricultural land of Abdul Sattar.

They said a police party and the landlord went to evacuate the land from unlawful possession of the accused. The land grabbers opened fire on police, which returned the compliment, and a crossfire continued for one hour, leaving one Abdul Ghaffar dead.

Police registered a case against Abdul Razzaq, his two sons Ramzan and Abdul Basit and four unidentified accomplices.

Meanwhile, Abdul Razzaq alleged that police firing was uncalled for. He demanded a murder case against the policemen who killed Abdul Ghaffar.
