KARACHI: Indian team visits KU

KARACHI, June 13: A three-member Indian education delegation comprising Director Schools Mumbai Sunil G Karve, Prof Sanjay Vasatrao Desh Mukh of the Mumbai University and Vijay Page visited the University of Karachi on Tuesday.

They called on its Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui.

The VC warmly welcomed the delegation and briefed it on educational and research activities being carried out at the varsity.

He stressed increasing contacts between both sides, and suggested that a video conferencing programme could be initiated between the Karachi and Mumbai varsities.

Prof Desh Mukh said that a memorandum of understanding could be signed between the two institutions in future.

Later, Prof Pirzada presented the shield of the Karachi University to the visiting delegation.—PPI
