ISLAMABAD, June 30: Prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged for the next 15 days, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority announced on Friday.

As such, the maximum ex-depot prices of motor spirit, high octane blending component, kerosene and light diesel will continue to be Rs57.70, Rs64.88, Rs35.23 and Rs32.57 per litre.

Ogra said the government would bear Rs7.33 per litre on kerosene and Rs7.19 on light diesel oil to maintain the prices at the existing level.

The price breakdown chart, however, indicates that the government was charging Rs4.60 per litre general sales tax on kerosene and Rs2.25 per litre on light diesel oil. Also, it was charging Rs23.70 per litre on motor spirit’s ex-depot price of Rs57.70 in the form of excise, petroleum development levy, GST and equalisation margin.
