KARACHI, Aug 4: Eight vessels carrying steel coils and pipes and containers are due to arrive at the out anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight ships were berthed to unload and load various commodities. They are: MOL Accord, Y.M.Sun, Iran Tabatabaei and Calvin P.Titus, to unload and load containers, Athlofors, to unload fertiliser, Swat, to offload crude oil, Q.S.M. Musca and Ro Ro Siam to unload and load general cargo.

Four ships, Hyundai Highway, Maersk Alabama, Shuja-111 and Team Leopared departed on Friday, while El-Temerario, Dusita Naree, Johar, Swift, Y.M. Sun, Oel Aishwarya, Iran Tabatabaei, Tower Bridge, Mol Accord and Victoira-1 are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.129m tons comprising 19,284 tons of export cargo and 0.110m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Shalamar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Cape Santiago, Mondena, Nordwoge and Orient Independence, with congainers, Rickers Doha, with steel coil, Marnedijk and Persia, with steel pipes.
