Rival targeted

SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 4: Three people shot dead their rival near Bagla Pully in Muridke on Friday. Naeem had a rivalry with Shoaib of the same locality. Naeem and his two accomplices shot Shoaib dead.

Muridke City police have registered a case without any arrest.

ENCOUNTER: Two alleged robbers were injured while their two accomplices managed to escape after an encounter with the residents of Kallah Virkan village in the early hours on Friday.

Four gunmen barged into the house of Inayat Ali. When the bandits were collecting valuables one of the family members woke up and raised an alarm.

In the meantime, around a dozen armed villagers gathered outside the house. In an exchange of fire, two robbers, identified as Nasir and Zahid, sustained injuries and nabbed by the villagers. Their accomplices escaped from the scene.

The injured outlaws were taken to hospital.

Factory Area police are investigating.
