By A Sports Correspondent

KARACHI, Aug 13: With a final round of two over par 74, Mohammad Munir coasted to a four-stroke victory in the rain-interrupted 54-hole eighth Sindh Open Golf Championship at Arabian Sea Country Club on Sunday.

Dark clouds and rain affected Munir’s performance, who finished with a total score of five under 211. Even some players had to abandon their final round.

Akhter Ali overcame a three stroke deficit carding three over par 75 for an aggregate one under 215 to finish runner-up.

Finishing a stroke further behind was opening day’s leader M. Sajid with par 216 to settle for third position.

Overnight runners up Imdad Hussain squandered the lead to share fourth place with Shakeel Rehmati at 217.

DHA’s Waseem Rana won the amateur gross title when he logged 78 for a total of 225. KGC’s Aly Rana finished runners up with score of 228.
