Mustansar, Awais emerge winners

LAHORE, Aug 13: Mustansar Naaz of Sui Southern Gas claimed top position in the Independence Day 30-kilometre cycle race while Awais Aslam came in first in 20-kilometre race on common cycle on Sunday.

Mustansar clocked 55 minutes 22.81 seconds to clinch the title.

Nasir Hussain (Army) came second, clocking 55 minutes 32.81 seconds while Mohammad Yousuf (Wapda) finished third after covering the distance in 55 minutes 52.81 secs.

Awais of Kamoki covered the distance in 32 minutes to earn the title followed by Miran Buksh of Kasur, who clocked 32 minute 10 seconds.

Mohammad Bashir of Lahore remained third with the timing of 32 minute 20 seconds.
