KARACHI, Aug 23: The University of Karachi notified the schedule of BA (Pass) Part-I and Part-II supplementary examinations 2005 for external and regular students on Wednesday.

According to KU announcement, the examinations will be conducted from Aug 26 to Oct 4. The papers would be conducted from 2pm to 5pm and on Friday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, added the notification.

The examination centre for all regular male candidates has been be set up at Library Science Department and for external male candidates at Special Education Department, Sheikh Zayed Islamic Research Centre. For all regular and external female candidates, the examination centre has been established at Mathematics Department of Karachi University.

Convocation: The annual convocation of Karachi University will be held on Sept 9.

The degrees would be conferred on the regular students of Karachi university for both the morning and the evening classes. Those students, who have successfully completed bachelors (honours), BS, masters, BPharmacy and MPharmacy but have not yet obtained their degrees would be eligible to attend the convocation.

Similarly, the students whose degrees for MS, MPhil., PhD, DLit, and DSc were approved in the year 2005 would also be able to attend the convocation. Gold medals and merit certificates would also be given to the position holders in various disciplines.

Seminar: The international relations department of Karachi University will hold a seminar on education at its premises on Aug 24.

The seminar with the theme of “How to bridge the knowledge gap: Strategies for the developing countries”, would be organised under the auspices of the Programme on Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.—PPI/APP
